About

The Social Justice Ministry responds to the basic needs and beyond of parishioners.  We provide a community breakfast the second Saturday every month, celebrate Dorothy Day two weekends in October and collect linens for Spooner House.  We also coordinate volunteer teams who provide dinner once a month to Spooner House.

Parishioners and several local agencies work together during Advent with our Giving Tree. The Giving Tree is a collective endeavor of parishioners and school families to provide gifts, gift certificates or agency wish list items to those nominated.

We coordinate and provide Simple Suppers on Fridays during Lent: organize organizations within the parish to prepare soup, salad, bread and water before The Stations of the Cross.  We coordinate Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl Collection once a year throughout Lent.  We also work alongside the Saint Francis Food Pantry and their endeavors.
